Vicky Rotarova, I mastered English and German to be taught to other people at the Sofia University, foreign languages faculty, to be specific. Computational linguistics is what I was mainly involved in during my studies. While having practice I also learned how to work with a number of useful programs, including those of Microsoft Word and Power Point, necessary for the technical translations to be performed properly.
Goals and achievements
A part of my working experience was translating technical documents from English into German and vice versa. For this reason I had to work a lot with specific terminology. Another facet of my experience is working in a couple of IT companies. A series of lectures delivered on the topic: «Specifics of translation of technical documentation into English in the countries of Eastern Europe», also greatly contributed to my professional skills.
To improve my language skills I actively participated in various seminars. This activity required that I should bring my computer skills to a higher level as well. That is why I got mastering a number of computer programs, crucial for translations into English and German to be performed professionally. These computer programs include Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
